Who am I ?
I am an expert in democratic innovation and citizen participation, with over ten years of experience at local, regional, european, and international levels. I’m working with a wide range of actors : civil society, traditional political institutions (parties, parliaments, and governments), and international organizations. My passion lies in rethinking citizen engagement to make it a vital lever for democracy, ensuring every voice matters in shaping the decisions that define our future.

Strategy
Our societies face a real challenge: too often, decisions are made without enough input from the citizens they impact, leading to outcomes that feel unsustainable, unfair, or disconnected from people’s lives. While citizen assemblies can be powerful tools for change, they’re not one-size-fits-all solutions that work in every situation. That’s why strategic support is about working together to find the right way to involve citizens in shaping the decisions that will define our shared future.
Advocacy
To maximize the political impact of citizen participation, it is essential to plan ahead how recommendations will translate into public policies. Advocacy involves promoting and supporting the idea and implementation of a citizens' assembly among decision-makers, stakeholders, and the general public. Its goal is to ensure that these assemblies are well understood, adequately funded, effectively executed, and have a lasting impact on democratic processes.
Design
Designing and structuring a process can quickly become a real challenge. It often feels like reinventing the wheel, even though many others have faced similar situations and provided valuable insights. How to organize a random selection ? Should participants be compensated, how? How to choose and introduce information ? When to involve politicians ? These critical questions are at the heart of successful design. I offer tailored support to help you create a process that effectively meets your goals while ensuring legitimacy, inclusivity, and lasting impact.
Conferences
Sharing ideas and best practices helps plant the seeds of democratic innovation and reimagines our democracies by involving citizens beyond the electoral process. These conferences create a fertile ground for the emergence of new democratic approaches. You can, of course, contact me to discuss a specific angle to address and the format.
Training
The training of stakeholders during the launch of a citizens' assembly is crucial to ensure inclusive and meaningful participation. The individuals to be trained and the methods of training depend on the specific objectives of the assembly. Together, we will determine which groups to train and the most appropriate approaches, potentially involving: political leaders, administrators, facilitators, civil society, the media, and/or the general public.

My vision is to not oppose traditional representative democracy and citizen participation. Citizen participation can only truly thrive in a viable political system.

It is essential to actively rethink the role of groups that are most distant from participation, as their involvement is crucial for the success and legitimacy of any participatory process.

Citizen assemblies are not entertainment gimmicks meant to give a false sense of accomplishment or just to ride the wave of popular trends. The main goal remainsl follow-up and system change.

Adaptability
We must remain humble and recognize that both democracy and our societies are in a constant state of change. We need to stay open to continuous learning, which involves staying informed about the latest research and innovations, and evaluating our practices with the objective of improving them. Each process is specific and context-dependent, requiring tailored approaches.
